Civic Talk’s Jobs, Volunteer Opportunities, and Subscriptions

Civic Talk has a multitude of roles needed to help our organization to operate effectively.

Civic Talk has temporary and part time positions available. These positions are in the form of either Officers, employees, volunteers, or memberships.

-Officers: Officers who take on the roles of social media marketing, fundraising, video editing, event organizing, and so forth receive financial compensation that is disclosed upon an interview. Officers do own a portion of the company that is also disclosed upon an interview.

-Social Media Marketing and Video Editor: Social Media Marketing Agent/Video Editor is at this time a part time position that can be done from home. The position is salary based depending on the number of hours worked in the week. As of now, the position is contracted for 15-18 hours per week which can be done from home. Hourly rate starts at $18.50 but varies based on experience and work profile.

-Temporary Support: This position pays per diem. It is a standby part time position that holds the responsibilities of fundraising, events, recording, and editing support. They are paid per diem and given one weeks’ notice before needed for work. Per diem is in two parts. First of all, travel expenses are paid, secondly per diem is dependent on hours worked. If the work was less than 4 hours, starting rate is $68. Anything over 4 hours is $134.

-Volunteer Positions: Volunteer staffers are typically one-time jobs typically for events or grassroots canvassing. For canvassing, volunteers may be paid by the number of memberships, subscriptions, or signatures. Otherwise, volunteers may be compensated in other ways such as volunteer credits, gift cards, paid expenses, and other benefits that we encourage potential volunteers to suggest.
